2016 Grand Opening

  • 9:00 am –  hot chocolate and coffee at the shop
  • TREATS ALL DAY FROM MOMS APPLE PIE
  • 9:30 am –  17 mile gravel ride ( no drop ride)
  • Noon     –  Stewart Staton:  training for endurance mountain bike racing and competing
  • 1:00 pm – Amsterdam ride (super casual through town ride for the non serious cyclist who just likes to cruise, the only cycling    clothing allowed is a helmet.  Good one for kids as long as they have good control of their bike)
  • 2:00 pm –  Margaret Stokes:  riding and camping on the C&O canal
  • Music in the afternoon by local talent Annie Stokes!
  • 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm  Knitting corner with Harriet Dickerson and supplies from Finch Sewing Leesburg.  So those that don’t live for the wind in your hair and the music of a clean chain on gears hang with Harriet and knit 1 pearl 2!
  • 4:00 pm –  Lizzie Camstra:  Lava Tours Costa Rica
  • 5:00 pm –  Tom Stokes:  Bicycle Fit, Overview and a little history of  how bikes and rider position has evolved.  Should be a good one, then you can ask him about gravel road routes!
  • 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm – party with soup from Cultured, beer samples from Loudoun Brewing Co, and plenty of other refreshments.
  • Musical Guest appearance by long time customer and friend Prescott Engle!

RAFFLE BEGINS OF A RARE VINTAGE OX TITANIUM 29er THAT WAS OWNED BY OUR FRIEND AND COLLEAGUE ROB HARRINGTON WITH PROCEEDS GOING TO HIS CHILDREN’S EDUCATION FUND. The winning ticket will be drawn at the 10th annual “Bakers Dozen” bike race April 9
