The weather and conditions were as perfect as they could be for the last Pre-ride for the 2010 edition of the Baker’s Dozen. Although I only managed to carve out time for one lap plus an extra loop in the Pine Trees, the trail is about as fast as I have ever seen it. As long as you keep your tire withing the 8-12 inch beaten down path and carve a line around the roots and rocks, your maximum speed is really predicated on tire traction. I could not believe how impossibly fast some of the sections have become.
Less that 14 days until race day! Volunteers have been stepping up in fine fashion. Still have a few slots to fill if anyone care to help out on Saturday April 17th.

Thanks,
Tom Stokes
