WHAT

A sculpture by Mike Clay  will be installed on the W&OD on the east side of Harrison Street in Leesburg, just .3 miles from Plum Grove (Re)Cyclery.

WHY

Friends of Leesburg Public Art and Plum Grove (Re)Cyclery want to encourage and enhance public art in Leesburg through facilitation, recognition and financial support.

THE BIG DAY/May 20th

  • 7:00 am Medium paced 20 mile gravel road ride leaving the shop at 7 ending at sculpture site for the dedication
  • 9:00am LOVE SCULPTURE DEDICATION WITH THE MAYOR
  • 11:30 am Family ride 4-5 miles from the shop through downtown Leesburg and back on the bike path. Very slow cruise, but riders will need to ride straight and have good starting and stopping ability.
  • 4:00 pm Learn to ride:  adults and kids bring a bike if you have one borrow one at the shop if not
  • 6:30pm Party at the shop with with Tom’s rock n roll band “NAILED IT”

Stop by Plum Grove (Re)Cyclery and purchase a t-shirt or two and a raffle ticket or two, or click here to buy online.

Items being raffled include a new Adult  and Youth Cannondale bike. Profits from t-shirts and raffle sales go directly to Friends of Leesburg Public Art and Mobile Hope.
